Policies

Payment for services rendered

  • Payment is due at the time that the grooming service is rendered. No exceptions.
  • I accept credit cards, checks, and cash for grooming services, cancellation fees, and additional charges.

Appointment Times

Please allow a 10-minute window for arrival at the time of your appointment. I do my utmost to remain on schedule, but traffic can be unpredictable. 

Cancellation

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to cancel 48 hours in advance will result in a $60 Cancellation Fee. 

No Show

If I arrive at your home for a scheduled appointment and no one is available to allow access to your pet, you will be billed a $60 No-Show fee, payable within 10 days of receipt. 

Returned Checks

Returned checks will be subject to a returned check fee of $20 or 10% of the grooming session charge, whichever is greater. 

Pet Behavior and Stress

For the benefit of both the pet and the stylist, we will not continue working with an uncooperative or distressed pet and may refuse to complete a service. If a pet is unusually upset, we may skip stressful procedures or take extra time for a “time out.” We will charge for any additional time needed. We may refer you to your veterinarian for sedation for your pet. 

De-Matting Policy

Excessive dematting can be a very painful and dangerous process for your pet. We will not use sharp “mat breakers” or other tools intended to cut apart mats in an attempt to save the coat. If the matting has developed into a pad close to the skin, we will shave under the mats with electric trimmers to remove them. We will assess each case individually and discuss options with you. 

Pet Health History

The responsible adult must know the pet’s health history and status. If the pet has been recently acquired, it must have been examined by a veterinarian and deemed healthy enough for a grooming session. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our primary concern. Please advise us of any allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing medical conditions. 

Previous Experiences

Let us know of past negative grooming occurrences. We want to avoid repeating any unacceptable experiences you may have had.
